The goal of our Transitions behavior unit is to provide a safe environment that promotes independence and a dignified approach to wellness, while providing engaging life skills programming.

What kind of treatment can be expected at Transitions?

Work with a multidisciplinary team - The care team will include: nurses, state tested nursing assistants, physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse practitioner, social services, dietician, therapy and activities.


Plan of care - The care team will work with both the patient and family to establish goals to achieve the highest level of wellness.


Life enrichment programming - Through our life skills programming we take a positive approach to teaching individuals how to develop into active and productive members of their communities.

Levels of care - Our Transitions unit can accommodate both short-term and long-term placement needs with management of behavioral diagnosis along with other clinical needs.


Program oversight

The transitions Unit is managed by Dr. Boris Royak, M.D. Advanced Recovery Concepts, LLC.

Staff Training

The education and training of staff in the Transitions unit is a priority for achieving and sustaining total wellness for the patient. Multiple, ongoing training programs have been provided by various professionals who work in the local community hospital systems. Training elements include:
